Objective
Find and rescue Deckard Cain, in Nightmare.
Since
Patch 20261022.3

How it's done

  1. Slay Treehead WoodFist at the Tree of Inifuss, and pick up the Scroll of Inifuss he leaves.
  2. Take the scroll to Akara in camp: she turns it into the Key to the Cairn Stones. "Take this to the Cairn Stones, where Rakanishu stands guard."
  3. In a later Act I, touch the Cairn Stones where Rakanishu falls. They rise on your screen and stand until the act ends, and lit ones turn gold.
  4. Enter the portal to Tristram and free Deckard Cain from his gibbet. The portal back opens on a street you can walk to.
  5. Cain now waits in the Rogue Encampment, and Akara pays the rescue with her ring.

Treehead WoodFist guards the Tree of Inifuss. Bring me its scroll.
