Your heroes, gold, Charsi's upgrades and gear stay in the browser you play in, or on disk in the desktop app. SAVES on the main menu keeps them as a file or a code and brings them into the desktop app, another browser or another device.
Keeping a copy
- SAVES exports your progress as a file or a code; import either one on the website or in the desktop app.
- An import keeps the save it replaces aside in this browser.
- Safari deletes a site's storage after a week away. The game asks the browser to keep your save, and on Safari SAVES lights up to remind you to save it as a file.
- The desktop app keeps your save on disk as you play.
Runs and recovery
- A run is saved as you play: if the browser or phone closes the tab, CONTINUE brings back your hero's level and build.
- Act I is not saved: the next run starts anew, but your items and gold are kept.
- CONTINUE starts the act over from its start, at your level.
- A saved run that can't be read is kept aside, and the main menu says so, instead of a new run starting in its place. A save from a newer version is kept aside whole before an older one plays it.
Starting over
START OVER in GAME OPTIONS deletes every hero, item, gold piece, Charsi's rank, Terror tier and best time, after asking twice. Your settings stay. Export a save code from SAVES first to keep a copy.
