Patch 20261023.2

Larger summon armies, resistance-breaking masteries, ten permanent wares, Terror replays and the Linux/Steam Deck beta. Includes build 20261023.1.

Current20261022.3

Build 20261023.2 brings Linux and Steam Deck support, new permanent wares, larger summon armies and replayable Terror tiers. This wiki update includes every change from 20261023.1 and 20261023.2 since the previous tracked build, 20261022.3.

Summons and mastery

  • Raise Skeleton
    • ●The Necromancer can field eight skeletons, eight mages and twenty revives. Per-unit strength falls to preserve army damage.
  • Summon Grizzly
    • ✓Wolf bites sweep nearby enemies and Grizzly swipes deal splash damage.
    • ✓Keeping Spirit Wolf or Dire Wolf with Grizzly no longer removes the pack's Grizzly damage and Dire Wolf life bonuses.
    • ✓AUTO STATS assigns Strength to skeleton and beast summoners instead of Energy.
    • ●All sources of enemy resistance reduction can break the matching immunity, with one fifth effectiveness while immune.
  • Fire Mastery
    • ●Fire, Cold and Lightning Mastery reduce matching resistance instead of adding damage: -9% at rank 1 to -29% at rank 5. Fire +82%; Cold +50%; Lightning +278% damage at rank 5-29% to the matching enemy resistance at rank 5
    • ✓Skill tooltips label the element affected by resistance reduction and omit the misleading added-damage figure.

Permanent wares

  • Charsi
    • +Five wares are added: Faster Run/Walk, Faster Cast Rate, Sell Price, Potion Healing and Experience, with endless ranks after the regular maximum.
    • +Purchased Faster Cast Rate raises the casting cap too, improving speed even for a capped hero.
    • +Five Pierce wares lower fire, cold, lightning, poison or physical resistance; each applies at one fifth strength against immunity.

Terror tiers

    • +The waypoint can replay a cleared tier with fresh affixes and its usual rewards. Replays preserve tier progress; death costs 10% of a level.
    • ✓Selecting an offer while a tier is saved starts the selected offer; only a Cow Level selection spends Wirt's Leg.
  • Akara
    • ✓After starting over, replay choices use tiers cleared on the new climb; reaching the old best again opens the next tier.

Quests and camp

  • Akara
    • ✓Re-drafts update a saved run too. Starting over ends it after a second confirmation.
    • ✓Her menu opens even when a reward ring is waiting for inventory space.
    • ✓Reset confirmation explains what closes, and locked waypoint rows explain their unlock requirements.
  • One Tree in Hell
    • ✓The Hell challenge now needs four skills of one tree, matching the Normal challenge. 5 skills→4 skills
  • One Tree
    • ✓Quest text clarifies the required skills and shows progress for the qualifying tree.
    • ✓Tristram places the red exit portal on walkable ground, clear of house walls.
  • Rakanishu
    • ✓Killing Rakanishu after Andariel no longer creates Cairn Stones for an inaccessible portal.
    • ✓Using a Book of Skill from the mercenary panel no longer locks up the camp.
  • Charsi
    • ✓The imbue stays in view when the shop fills; surplus stock waits until space becomes available.

Equipment and loot

  • Kashya
    • ✓Replacing a hireling with another of the same type returns the old equipment to inventory or stash.
    • +Unique drops use a pulsing gold star on the automap, making them easier to distinguish from rares.

Saves and recovery

    • ✓Save and Exit warns when continuing will discard levels earned in the unfinished act; portrait-phone menus show the warning too.
    • ✓The desktop app maintains a separate recovery save and restores heroes if regular local storage comes up empty.

Desktop and file setup

    • +Linux and Steam Deck gain a self-updating AppImage beta, with Diablo II discovery in Wine, Proton, Lutris and Bottles.
    • ✓Loading your own files on the website no longer intermittently falls back to a hero selector without heroes or game lettering.
  • Charsi
    • ✓Menus and Charsi can use D2R Exocet when the classic fonts cannot be extracted.
    • ✓Font extraction recognises more Diablo II: Resurrected installations.
  • Charsi
    • ✓The game retries menu and store assets before using the plain fallback screens.
    • ✓The fallback hero selector gains REPORT; fallback-screen reports explain why the original interface failed to load.

Phones and controls

    • ✓Phone reports include graphics memory, including reports made after the device closed the tab.
    • ✓Floor gear can be collected by tapping nearby, without hitting the item name exactly.
    • ✓Quest rewards and the character screen describe holding to use items on touchscreens.
    • ✓Portrait-phone camp menus have larger targets; a tap near a townsfolk character opens conversation.
    • ✓Phone title screens, stat and skill banners, and update prompts use touch instructions.
    • ✓Skill-list tooltips explain how to rest a skill and enable it again.
    • ✓The update notice is larger on phones and sits below the top controls in portrait orientation.
    • ✓Landscape-phone tooltips for skills, attributes and items use their full size.
    • ✓Waypoint, Quest Log and skill-tree close buttons have larger touch targets; save-code and report inputs avoid iPhone zoom.
    • ✓Landscape-iPhone control and side panels clear the home indicator.
    • ✓Landscape run information stays clear of the Pause control.
    • ✓The landscape mercenary portrait has a larger touch target.
    • ✓Portrait-phone stash tabs are easier to select.
    • ✓Camp dialogue wraps to fit portrait-phone screens.
    • ✓iPads and Android tablets use lighter memory budgets to reduce display loss and reloads.
    • ✓One tap on equipped gear displays its tooltip; a second tap removes it.
